Management professor John Michel, Ph.D., comments on workplace lottery pools in Baltimore Sun article

John Michel, Ph.D., assistant professor of management in the Sellinger School, says that workplace activities such as shared lottery pools help build strong relationships among employees: "When people come together to play the lottery, it provides a social activity. It allows coworkers to band together as a group playing a game. They choose to come together as a team."

Michel goes onto say, "Whenever you engage in an activity like this with people, even close friends need to have a contract."
