Graduate Program in Liberal Studies

Infinitely Adaptable

The Master of Arts in Liberal Studies at Loyola University Maryland is the new professional's degree for those who appreciate the journey as much as the destination. Through a broad spectrum of courses, students in this master's degree program study the roots and outcomes of the American experience and the city of Baltimore, fostering the development of eloquentia perfecta—the ability to speak and to write effectively, gracefully, and responsibly across various media—one of the primary goals of a Jesuit, graduate liberal arts education. Each student will emerge from the Liberal Studies program with a better understanding of and appreciation for the diverse elements which today define what it means to be a citizen of twenty-first-century America.
