The York Road Students Association
"The York Road Students Association (YRSA) strives to build meaningful and intentional relationships between students and neighbors in the York Road community. Through meetings, reflections, site visits, and friendships, we hope to create a strong and lasting connection with area residents, and also expand our definition of 'kinship.' By challenging our notions of community, we hope to broaden the lines of communication and establish sustainable bonds and partnerships."
The York Road Student's Association was established in 2012 by Katherine Clair '13. It has gained a steady following in the student body and is now lead by a Board of Directors that includes President Diana Dautzenberg '16, Lauren Heery '15, and Michael Kamradt '16. The York Road Student's Association is a group of students from the York Road Corridor committed to building lasting relationships between the many different communities in our neighborhood. The students plan and lead events such as dinners at area restaurants, meetings with local residents, and volunteer opportunities with community members. Through various events, meetings, and conversations, YRSA hopes to form deep bonds and friendships with our neighbors and thus continue to work towards justice for all within the York Road community, and beyond such as the greater Baltimore City community. All interested students are welcome to join!
