Phase One: Intent to Live in Summer Housing
If you are planning on living on campus for the upcoming summer session(s), you will need to complete your Intent to Return to Campus Housing through RoomRez (located on the Inside Loyola page), even if a department is paying for summer housing. The open enrollment period to declare your Intent to Live in Summer Housing is April 17, 2013 at 12:00 PM - April 24, 2013 at 5:00 PM. You will need to log in to your Inside Loyola account and click on the link called RoomRez Housing Portal using your Loyola Username and Password. During this phase, you will apply for housing for the upcoming summer, and update your home and emergency contact information. You will then have the opportunity to sign your summer housing contract. If you do not sign your contract you will not be able to complete this phase or go through with the remainder of the process.
The Summer Sessions are listed on the RoomRez Portal as follows:
- Summer 13 Session I - Select this term if you are living on-campus for Session I only
- Summer 13 Session II - Select this term if you are living on-campus for Session II only
- Summer 13 Session I & II - Select this term if you are living on-campus for the Entire Summer
If you complete your Intent to Live in Summer Housing by the deadline, you will be given the opportunity to request summer roommates. Please keep in mind that all students must complete Phase One in order to be pulled into a roommate group.
Phase Two: Roommate Requests
During Phase two, students will have the opportunity to request the roommates they would like to live with in summer housing - this phase will occur from April 24, 2013 at 5:00PM - April 29, 2013 at 12:00PM. Students may create roommate groups of 4 or 6 people. Because there are two summer sessions, whether or not you create a roommate group on the RoomRez Housing Portal depends on your specific situation. Please follow the directions based on the examples below:
Anna Example, Jean Test, and Maxine Trial are all planning on living in summer housing for Summer Session I - If all students will be living together during the same session (s) create a Roommate Group because all of the roommates will be living on-campus during the same summer session(s).
Billy Test is living on-campus for Summer Session 1 & 2, James Trial is living on-campus for Summer Session 1, and Steve Example is living on-campus for Summer Session 2 - If the students in a roommate groups' summer sessions are different, email Megan Rowe at firstname.lastname@example.org, CC'ing all roommates being requested. See the template email below for an example or what your email to Megan Rowe should look like:
From: James Trial
To: Megan Rowe (email@example.com)

Subject: Summer Roommate Request
Body: Hello - below is our summer housing roommate request:
