RHA is a unique student run organization that exists to improve the quality of life of Loyola students by offering programs based on students' interests, as well as promoting a safe, supportive and welcoming community. The RHA is nationally affiliated with the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), which provides its leaders with opportunities to attend conferences and programs to further develop leadership skills and give fellow students the power to impact their own community.
Aside from being a fun and exciting group of people, the RHA of Loyola University Maryland is a creative and dynamic branch of the Student Government Association (SGA) that deals with the residents of the university. We address the questions and concerns that resident students may have and represent the collective interests of Loyola’s resident students to the SGA, the administration, and the community at large. In conjunction with these functions, the RHA provides social and educational events for individual residence halls and the university as a whole by organizing community building activities with other organizations on campus and actively promoting diversity in activities and policies. The RHA's most notable efforts are seen through programs such as area activities, the Winter Formal, Siblings Weekend, and care packages.
