Loyola established the Loyola Emergency Notification System (LENS) in 2003. LENS incorporates the use of a centrally controlled public address system that uses alert tones, programmed messages, and live voice instructions about what actions the University is taking to respond. LENS will be used to relay important information about impending disasters and how we will respond to events as they are unfolding.
