Seán Bray

Seán Bray was born and raised in the Seattle area. He holds a B.A. in Elementary Curriculum from Carroll College in Helena, Montana and a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Seattle University. Seán has served as an elementary & middle school teacher, youth minister, a campus minister for retreats, and most recently as the Campus Minister for Social Justice at Seattle University. Seán is passionate about creating space for dialogue, accompanying people in discernment, nurturing relationship between communities, building teams and helping people to explore their relationships with God, others and themselves. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors biking, skiing, hiking and camping. He is married to Shannon Fleming Bray and they have two children Larkin age 5 and Liam age 2.

George Miller directs the worship life of the Loyola community. As founder of the Loyola Chapel Choir, he brings over 30 years experience as a musician and campus minister. He holds degrees in theology (Loyola, 76), voice and music education, and a M.A. in vocal pedagogy and conducting, as well as continuing education in liturgical studies. George has held national leadership positions with AJCU, NPM, and is currently a faculty member of Music Ministry Alive – a summer institute for young musicians in St. Paul, MN. A professional singer; he has performed with The Baltimore Choral Arts Society, and the Baltimore, Washington, and Annapolis Opera companies. His passions also include home renovation. George is currently completing a 3-year project on 1926 colonial-revival home in Kingsville, MD.

Fr. Murray is a member of the New England Province of the Jesuits, where he has served in a variety of ministries over his 25 years as a priest. Prior to his arrival at Loyola in 2012, Fr. Murray was the Director of Eastern Point Retreat House in Gloucester, MA. Fr. Murray has training in counseling and in the ministry of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. He has worked at both the secondary education level, as Principal of Bishop Connolly High School; and at the higher education level at Boston College, as the internal Consultant for Ignatian Spirituality. Fr. Murray enjoys companioning with students, staff and faculty in searching through the spiritual gifts in their lives and in finding God in all things.

Elise Gower is brand new to Loyola! Elise has worked in secondary education teaching Social Justice, Medical Ethics and World Religions. A native of Pennsylvania, Elise served as the International Service Program Coordinator and Campus Minister at the University of Scranton where she facilitated global immersion experiences, coordinated Christian Life Communities, and directed diverse retreats and programs. In her personal and professional life, Elise embraces the Jesuit ideals. She is excited to engage students in their Loyola experience, and accompany each person on their own unique faith journey. In her free time, you’ll find Elise kayaking, traveling, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends.

Anne McSweeney is the "glue" that ensures that the day-to-day operations in the Campus Ministry office run efficiently; providing support to the staff and students. Anne's duties include administration of the departmental budgets, coordination of student work schedules and payroll. Anne serves as the primary contact person for public inquiries and internal requests and as such is our official "Minister of Hospitality." Her hospitality extends to alumni as they return to Loyola for their wedding celebrations. Anne is a McGuire Scholar; taking classes each semester. She lives in Hunt Valley with her son, Francis, who is a member of the Loyola University, Class of 2018.
