Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management has been ranked among the top 30 graduate business schools in the country for finance and accounting specialties in U.S. News & World Report's 2014 edition of Best Graduate Schools. U.S. News also ranked the Sellinger School’s part-time MBA program No. 89.
At No. 22 for finance and No. 29 for accounting, the Sellinger School is the only institution in Maryland on either MBA specialty list.
“This latest accolade is further recognition that our exceptional faculty and rigorous curriculum with a strong focus on ethics offer students from a diverse set of academic and professional backgrounds a uniquely transformative educational experience,” said Karyl B. Leggio, Ph.D., dean of the Sellinger School.
Loyola’s part-time MBA program ranking places the University in the top third nationally. U.S. News's part-time MBA ranking is based on five factors: average peer assessment score; the average GMAT score and average GRE quantitative and verbal scores of part-time MBA students entering in fall 2012; their average undergraduate GPA; work experience; and the percentage of the business school's fall 2012 MBA enrollment that is part time. To be eligible for the part-time ranking, a program needs to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and have at least 20 students enrolled part time in fall 2012.
In addition to the U.S. News & World Report ranking, the Sellinger School was ranked No. 62 overall in Businessweek’s 2012 “Best Undergraduate B-Schools” and has been ranked among the best business schools in the world for Executive MBA programs by the Financial Times. The Sellinger School has also maintained its dual accreditation in business and accounting by AACSB – the international standard of quality for business schools.
