Loyola University Maryland’s Apprentice House, the nation’s only student-staffed, campus-based book publisher, will host an author showcase Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. Authors and editors of books the imprint has recently published will read from their works and discuss their experiences navigating the publishing process with Apprentice House’s student staff.
The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place in the Hug Lounge of the Humanities Building on Loyola’s North Charles Street campus.
Featured authors include:
Meg Tipper, author of Standing at the Edge: A Year of Days After Sudden Death;
“Chic” Dambach, author of Exhaust the Limits: The Life and Times of a Global Peacebuilder;
D.R. Belz, ’78; author of White Asparagus;
Mark Osteen, Ph.D., editor of Music at the Crossroads;
Tom McCreight, Ph.D., and Richard Blum, Ph.D., editors of Soldier or Scholar: Stratocles or War
Osteen is a member of Loyola’s English faculty, McCreight and Blum are in the classics and philosophy departments, respectively, and Belz teaches in the writing department.
Light refreshments will be served, and books will be available for purchase.
