The Julio Fine Arts Gallery at Loyola University Maryland will host its 2009 Faculty Biennial Exhibit from Nov. 11 - Dec. 9. Many of the faculty whose works will be displayed will appear at an opening reception on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 5 - 7 p.m.

Participating faculty include Mary Beth Akre, Virginia Brown, Carol Frost, Christopher Lonegan, Janet Maher, Dan Schlapbach, Mary Skeen, and Lars Westby. Featured media include photography, oil painting, printmaking, and ceramics.

"This exhibition celebrates the work of the visual arts faculty members of Loyola's fine arts department," said Gallery Director Kay Hwang. "The exhibition allows us to demonstrate the extraordinary artistic creations of our faculty and to offer our thanks for their commitment to art and academic discourse in the classroom and beyond."

Julio Fine Arts Gallery is located on Loyola's North Charles Street campus. Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 - 4 p.m. For more information on this exhibit and other gallery programs, contact gallery director Kay Hwang at 410-617-2799.
